Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory



The Structural and Applied Mechanics group assesses the structural response of civilian and defense systems, designs mitigation and containment systems, and performs safety analysis. The group has particular expertise in evaluating the response and failure of complex systems to explosive detonations, fragment impact, seismic events, and other transient dynamic loadings.
